Salus, a US leader in providing rehabilitation services to senior living facilities, has recently begun experimenting with a camera-based gait analysis system. Using artificial intelligence and predictive analytics, the system has shown promise in being able to reduce fall occurrence.
According to the Department of Health and Human Services, about half of all residents in nursing facilities fall each year. Gait analytics deployed by Salus have been shown to bring fall occurrence down to 10% among residents.
